grusinski

Chester C. Grusinski was a crewmember aboard the U.S. Naval aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42 from 1952 to 1958. In 1958, while on a shakedown cruise off the U.S. naval base of Guantanamo in Cuba, he witnessed a mysterious event from the flight deck of the ship. He has spent years researching this event, which he believes to have been a UFO sighting. Several years after retirement, he joined an FDR reunion group to compile other sailors’ accounts of sightings. His story is detailed in Timothy Good’s book on UFOs and military intelligence entitled Need to Know. Grusinski currently lives in Michigan.
